Isabella LaPearl

Born and raised in New Zealand and living in America, Isabella LaPearl is a pseudonym for a disgustingly happy housewife and Mother of three. A word painter and artist, I wrestle daily with the ‘little people’ that live inside my head, demanding to be spread on the pages of the tales that I weave. Then…and only then, is there peace.

From The Diva And The Dom by Isabella LaPearl

The Diva and The Dom by Isabella LaPearl

Christina wanted to walk out.

Wanted to rail at Haden and tell the self riotous prick exactly what she thought of the swinging games he liked to play. Then Jack, the other guy in the group tonight, whose wife was currently perched over Haden’s face, ran a confident finger or two along her shoulder and quietly breathed in her ear, “So have you ever been tied up?”

And just like that, something had slid into place in her mind.

She’d shivered like a pup. Felt the tremor run through her nerve endings in a delicious roll from one end of her to the other, and suddenly she was instantly wet.  Not damp either, but drenched at the sudden thought of being tied up and…more by this man. A scarlet flush rose up from her chest and colored her neck and cheeks as she felt his chuckle hot against her skin.

“I think you like that idea, shall we?”

Most never got to see with their own two eyes that which changed them fundamentally for the rest of their lives. Tiarnán did. And the love, the loss, the excruciating ecstasy and the cold bitter sorrow of it all, nearly drove him mad.

He knew. Didn’t have to guess what lay beyond the veil. For him, it never existed.

He knew in a way that most people couldn’t even begin to comprehend, that it was the seemingly smallest acts of inconsequence, that often brought about the biggest tumbles.  Setting off a chain reaction like dominoes falling, that once set in motion could not be stopped.

Until only the echo endlessly reverberating in the shocked silence of the aftermath remained.

Tiarnán fell to his knees in the long grass and threw back his head as a howl of helpless fury rose from deep in his gut, to spill forth from lips pulled back in a grimace of agony.
